Emma PowellWriter and Performer
Emma is a first-year student at Homerton College, Cambridge, studying Education with English and Drama. She completed a foundation course in acting at The Drama Centre, London before studying at Cambridge. She is a member of The National Youth Theatre and has a Trinity Guildhall Diploma in Performance.
Previous credits in Cambridge include Ethel McCormack in Footloose (ADC Theatre, 2012), Performer in The Improvised Musical (Corpus Playroom, 2012), Ruth in The Acid Test (Homerton College, 2012), Lady Gay Spanker in London Assurance (Magdalene College, 2012), Writer/Performer in Rookie (Corpus Playroom, 2012), Performer in Grimm Tales (ADC Theatre, 2011), and Raquel in Quake (Corpus Playroom, 2011 and La Bouche à Oreille Theatre, Brussels, 2012).
While training Emma performed as Wendla in Spring Awakening (Drama Centre London, 2010), Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Drama Centre London, 2011), and Laura in The Father (Drama Centre London, 2011).
Outside of Cambrigde she has appeared in Cinderella (Lyric Theatre Hammersmith, 2008), as Lotte in Brecht and Weill Night (Komedia Theatre Bath, 2011), Hero in Much Ado About Nothing (Progress Theatre Reading, 2009), Francisca in West Side Story (Newbury Corn Exchange, 2011), and Chorus in Antigone (Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2009).
Pierre NovellieWriter and Performer
Pierre is a third-year student of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge. He was vice president of the Footlights for the year 2011-2012.
Originally from South Africa, Pierre is now a resident of the Isle of Man and a proud, naturalised Manxman.
He wrote and performed in the sketch shows Now, Now (Corpus Playroom Cambridge, 2010), Mexican Stand Off (Newnham Old Labs Cambridge, 2011) and G.G.T.H. (ADC Theatre Cambridge, 2012). He performed in Broody (ADC Theatre, 2011).
Pierre is also a stand-up comic, performing regularly in Smokers (informal comedy showcases) as well as founding and running the Corpus Smoker.
George PottsWriter and Performer

Phil WangWriter and Performer
Phil is a third-year Engineering student at King's College, Cambridge.
With his grounding in stand-up comedy, Phil has won many prestigious awards including Chortle Student Comedian of the Year 2010 and Comedy Central Funniest Student 2011.
Phil has featured in The Comedy Zone at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and in August 2011 made a guest appearance on the Rob Brydon Show on BBC2.
Phil was President of the Cambridge Footlights for the year 2011-2012, and co-wrote Treasure Island: The CUADC-Footlights Pantomime 2011 (ADC Theatre Cambridge).
Jason ForbesWriter and Performer
Jason is a third-year English student at Jesus College, Cambridge. He was on the Footlights Committee for the year 2011-2012.
After performing in Treasure Island: The CUADC-Footlights Pantomime 2011 (ADC Theatre Cambridge), he recently co-wrote and performed in the critically-acclaimed sketch show PICK ME UP (ADC Theatre, 2012). He has written various monologues and sketches for performance at Footlights Smokers (Cambridge’s fortnightly comedy showcases), was a co-writer of Odds: The Footlights Spring Revue 2011 (ADC Theatre), and co-wrote and performed in the sketch show Now, Now (Corpus Playroom Cambridge, 2010), as a member of the sketch troupe ‘Care of Douglas’.
As well as the Cambridge Comedy Festival, the Oxford Playhouse, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, he has also appeared in a number of plays in Cambridge. Recent theatrical credits include Duncan in Macbeth (American Tour, 2011), Tranio in The Taming of the Shrew (European Tour, 2010-2011), Gary Lejeune in Noises Off (ADC Theatre, 2011), Phillip in The Shape of Things (Corpus Playroom, 2011), and Moses Jackson in The Invention of Love (ADC Theatre, 2010).
He has also appeared in London’s West End in Cambridge’s Marlowe Society Showcase 2012, directed by Max Stafford-Clark, and has provided his voice as Horatio in Hamlet, Ross in Macbeth, and Agrippa in Antony and Cleopatra, on behalf of the audio resource ‘Open Shakespeare’.
Ryan O'SullivanWriter
Ryan is a third-year English student at Girton College, Cambridge.
He has appeared on stage as Lysander in the 2009 European Theatre Group production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, and in two Footlights Spring Revues: Odds (ADC Theatre Cambridge, 2011) and Donors (ADC Theatre, 2012).
Ryan wrote and directed the sketch show Broody (ADC Theatre, 2011), wrote and performed in PICK ME UP (ADC Theatre, 2012) and been a writer for the 24-Hour Plays (ADC Theatre, 2012). He is a regular writer and performer in Footlights Smokers.

Abi TedderDirector
Abi graduated from Girton College, Cambridge in 2011, having studied History. She was President of the Cambridge Footlights for the year 2009-2010.
Abi co-wrote and performed in the 2009 Footlights National Tour Show, Wishful Thinking. She co-wrote Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves: The CUADC-Footlights Pantomime 2009 (ADC Theatre Cambridge), and starred solo in the Footlights Harry Porter Prize-winning Anything But (A One-Woman Play) (ADC Theatre, 2011, Etcetera Theatre London and Edinburgh Festival Fringe, 2012).
Her other credits include Derek: The Footlights Spring Revue 2009 (ADC Theatre), Breakfast at Night (ADC Theatre, 2009), The Odd Couple (Girton Old Hall Cambridge, 2008), The Cambridge Footlights Comedy Festival (Cambridge Arts Theatre 2008-2011), Theseus and the Minotaur: The CUADC-Footlights Pantomime 2008 (ADC Theatre), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (ADC Theatre, 2010), The Pied Piper: The CUADC-Footlights Pantomime 2010 (ADC Theatre), and Romeo and Juliet (ADC Theatre, 2011).
Abi has performed sketches and stand-up in over fifty Footlights and college Smokers, and co-organised the 2009 Wolfson Howler comedy events. She won the Kill Me Comedy Award 2008, was a finalist in the 2008 Cambridge RAG stand-up competition, and won a Cambridge Tab Theatre Award 2010 for Best Comedian. In August 2011 she joined the Cambridge American Stage Tour on a month-long tour of the East Coast USA with a production of Macbeth, and has recently finished a Winter Season run of Othello and Twelfth Night with the New London Company (NLC, 2011).
Hannah LaurenceProducer and Tour Manager
Hannah is a second-year student of Education with English and Drama at Homerton College, Cambridge.
After working as Publicity Officer for Doctor Faustus at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010 (C Aquila), she went on to produce Babushka both in Cambridge (ADC Theatre, 2011) and at the Fringe (C Aquila, 2011).
In Cambridge, Hannah has produced The Orphanarium of Erthing Worthing (ADC Theare, 2011) and the all-female sketch show Rookie (Corpus Playroom, 2012), and assistant produced An Enemy of the People (ADC Theatre, 2011).
Hannah has also worked as Stage Manager for Twelfth Night, the Pembroke Players' Japan Tour 2011.
Emily BurnsProducer and Tour Manager
Emily has just finished her first year of studying English at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.
In her first year, Emily has had a wide and varied involvement in Cambridge theatre. She directed The Grimm Tales (ADC Theatre, 2011), created and directed The Improvised Musical (Corpus Playroom, 2012), and was Assistant Musical Director for Footloose (ADC Theatre, 2012).
In the technical domain, Emily was Technical Director for Oleanna (Corpus Playroom, 2012) and was Assistant Stage Manager for A Midsummer Night's Dream (Cambridge Arts Theatre, 2012). In performance, she was a soloist for Some Enchanted Evening: One Night at the Musicals (ADC Theatre, 2012).
This year, Emily is Assistant Director for CUADC's Edinburgh Festival Fringe production of As You Like It (C Venues), and will be directing The Snow Queen: The CUADC-Footlights Pantomime 2012 (ADC Theatre).
Matt JarvisTechnician
Matt is a third-year Natural Sciences student at Homerton College, Cambridge.
In 2011 Matt was the Assistant Sound Designer for Jet Set Go! (ADC Theatre Cambridge, 2011) and then transferred with the production as Sound Designer for their run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (theSpace @ Niddry St, 2011).
This year Matt has been extremely prominent on the Musical Theatre scene in Cambridge. He was Lighting Designer for The Children's Guide to the Birth of Christ (Corpus Playroom, 2011) and Bereavement: The Musical (ADC Theatre, 2012), both new musicals by Jeff Carpenter, was Sound Assistant for the CUADC annual musical, Footloose (ADC Theatre, 2012), and will be Technical Director for Guido! (ADC Theatre, 2012), a Mayweek musical based on the life of Guy Fawkes.
Matt manages to transcend the usually separate worlds of performing and working as a technician; this Easter he made his debut on the ADC stage in the ensemble of Merrily We Roll Along (ADC Theatre, 2012).
Peter HoyesTechnician
Peter is a third-year student of Engineering (Electrical and Information Sciences) at Jesus College, Cambridge.
As a Sound Designer, Peter has been responsible for two CUADC-Footlights Pantomimes – The Pied Piper (ADC Theatre Cambridge, 2010) and Treasure Island (ADC Theatre, 2011) – as well as musicals including West Side Story (ADC Theatre, 2011), Rent (ADC Theatre, 2010), and the Gilbert & Sullivan Society's 50th anniversary production of The Pirates of Penzance (Minack Theatre Cornwall, 2011).
Peter edited a radio adaptation of The Leenane Trilogy for CAM FM (2012), and designed the lighting for The Orphanarium of Erthing Worthing (ADC Theatre, 2011) and Rookie (Corpus Playroom Cambridge, 2011).
Peter was Technical Respresentative of the Cambridge University Musical Theatre Society for the year 2011-2012 and was on the 2011 Jesus College May Ball committee. He is also a musician, and can occasionally be found playing the violin or piano.
Edward QuekettPublicity Designer
Edward is an Art Historian at Trinity Hall College, Cambridge, graduating in 2012. When not procrastinating and dodging his studies, he likes to pursue photography, graphic design, and theatre.
Serious about these activities, he has photographed for two of Cambridge's student papers, been featured in Varsity's The Mays XIX anthology, and designed and edited the exhibition catalogue Scavengers for artist Tom de Freston and poet Kiran Millwood Hargrave. In addition to this, Edward has served on the Trinity Hall June Event committee as Graphic Designer (2010-2011), and on the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club Committee as Publicist (2011-2012).

Adam WoodWebsite Designer and Editor
Adam graduated from Emmanuel College, Cambridge in 2011, having studied Engineering (Electrical and Information Sciences) for four years. He now works as a professional electronic and software engineer, fitting theatre, music and web design into his spare time.
During his time at Cambridge, he was heavily involved with a number of theatre societies, including the Footlights, and held positions including President of the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club 2009-2010 and Chairman of the Association of Cambridge Theatre Societies 2010-2011.
Adam was Technical Director and Lighting Designer for the 2011 Footlights International Tour, Pretty Little Panic, was Technical Director for two Footlights Spring Revues: Snippets (ADC Theatre Cambridge, 2008) and Derek (ADC Theatre, 2009), and was Production Manager for 42nd Street (Cambridge Corn Exchange, 2009).
Adam produced and managed two european tours with the European Theatre Group: Hamlet (2008) and The Taming of the Shrew (2010), and his stage management work includes Don Giovanni (West Road Concert Hall Cambridge, 2008), another Hamlet (Kronborg Castle Denmark, 2010), Noises Off (ADC Theatre, 2011), and West Side Story (ADC Theatre, 2011).
